Have you ever wondered what people who study the earth and her organisms are called?
An Ecologist is a person who studies how organisms and environments act towards each other. They focus on a number of aspects of the environment such as rainfall and temperature as well as the organisms themselves and their population size, how they gather food, ect.

How is Ecology related to Chemistry?

Ecology is the study of earth and how nature and its organisms react. Chemistry is the reactions betweeen two substances. Many reactions take place everyday between earth, people, and organisms that live and depend on the earth.

What kind of education does an Ecologist need?
To be an ecologist you would need to take as many life science classes in high school as you can such as physical science, geology, chemistry, and physics. You would also need to get a bachelor's degree in science and have knowledge in the areas of zoology, botany, and microbiology.

What kind of money does an ecologist make?
There are many professions a person can pursue in the career area of ecologist. Depending on what area you specialize in determines what kind of money you make per year.

What kind of working conditions does an ecologist have?
Since there are many jobs an ecologist can do, there are many types of environments they work in. An example would be a Wildlife Biologist would work in the outdoors with nature where as a Theoretical Ecologist might work in an office doing research.

Are there any jobs avaliable in the ecologist job field right now?

While there are openings in the field of ecology they are few and widely spread across the country.
