What is an average salary? An oncologist's salary typically depends on where they are working. An average oncologist makes between $180, 000 to $220,000. Some oncologists working in small areas with few doctors can get paid up to $315,000.

What are the working conditions? Oncologists work in hospitals, medical centers, and research organizations. Due to the complexity of the cancer virus, oncologists must constantly interact with other medical professionals.

What is the job outlook? There are many jobs that interact with cancer patients. Oncologists are always having a need for new doctors and specialists since cancer is such a growing illness. If anything, hospitals have too few oncologists and always looking for new recruits.
