On December
16, 1773 5,000 colonists gathered at the Old South Meeting House to debate
the tax on tea. The people could not come to a compromise. Due to the
results of the meeting Samuel Adams and the Sons of Liberty, which consists
of thirty to sixty men, disguised as Indians boarded on 3 East India Tea
Company's ship. They dumped 342 chests of tea into the Boston Harbor.
