The Looking Glass
The Looking Glass is the student newspaper. Student staff members develop their skills in writing, communication and teamwork. Editors gain experience in leadership and in editing, design and layout. Student editors, from grades 9 through 12, are entirely responsible for setting and meeting production goals. Student editors become proficient in the use of state-of-the art technology (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop) to produce the newspaper.
The literary magazine, The What-Not, is designed to develop aesthetic awareness through creative expression. Students in all grades and faculty members are welcome to submit art and writing for the magazine; the final product seeks to represent the entire Mount Alvernia community. Student staff members review all submissions, design the magazine, and prepare the layout.
