Grades 9 – 12

We view these grades not only as preparation for a college education, but also as a transition to independent thinking and scholarship. Building on the foundation of strong study skills that we foster during grades 7 & 8, we strive to challenge our students to achieve their full potential. During these years, we place a particular emphasis on leadership and independence, encouraging our girls to be independent thinkers who appreciate even more the connections between academic scholarship and its real-life applications.

Our curriculum continues to build on the traditional program of study, English, math, science, theology and history, but also integrates more contemporary electives such as environmental science, film criticism, psychology, economics and business leadership. To this end, our students are exposed to both a core curriculum and more diverse courses that may pique their interest for future studies and career choices.

Course of Study

All students are required to take the core curriculum established at each grade level. These courses are designed to acquaint students with knowledge and skills we think essential to success in college and life long learning. Within this framework, the program also fosters interdisciplinary experiences for students incorporating technology and the arts.
