Rewards Programs

The everyday purchases you make could help to raise  money for Mount Alvernia High School. Below are a few easy ways that you can help MAHS without a lot of effort.

Stop and Shop

Register your Stop and Shop card online and earn money for Mount Alvernia. Every purchase counts toward the funds the school will receive on your behalf. It takes just a minute to register and MAHS benefits from your grocery shopping at not cost to you.

Use or apply for a Target REDcard and designate MAHS as your school of choice. MAHS will then receive 1% of all purchases you make on your REDcard from Target.

Box Tops for Education

Buy participating items, cut out the “box tops” and send them into school. The homeroom that collects the most box tops per month is entitled to a “tag day” – a day out of uniform. We receive a check for the amount of box tops collected.

Don’t feel like trekking to the nearest grocery store?  Make sure to do your online shopping through  Create an account designating Mount Alvernia High School as the beneficiary, click on the link to one of the 300 online stores, then shop and check out normally.  By doing this, a portion of your purchase is donated to MAHS.

Hannaford Helps Schools

Purchase participating items (Hannaford can provide a list of participating items/vendors) and receive “school dollars” at checkout. You can then donate these school dollars in store. If MAHS is one of the highest fundraising schools, we will receive a bonus $1,000.

Sign up with Viridian using your electric bill. Choose from a fixed or variable rate and 20% vs. 100% renewable energy. This program takes advantage of the deregulated market for electricity in Massachusetts. It’s a win-win-win. You typically save money on your electric bill, you are helping to use renewable resources to preserve our planet and MAHS receives a monthly check for each account registered.

Matching Gifts from Your Employer

Does your or your spouse’s employer match your charitable contributions? If so, your contribution to MAHS could go even further. Check with your HR department to see if your company takes advantage of matching gifts.

Follett Virtual Bookstore

A portion of the purchases made from Follett is given back to the school.

J.B. Edward Uniforms

A percentage of the purchases from our parents from J.B. Edwards are given back to the school.
